Jennifer Torsiello Cassett

Meet Jennifer Torsiello Cassett

Ms. Cassett was born and raised in Atlantic County and is a graduate of Holy Spirit High School. She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey (n.k.a. Stockton University) in 2002. She attended Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, Delaware and earned her Juris Doctorate Degree in 2005.

During law school, Ms. Cassett worked for the Public Defenders’ Office in Wilmington, Delaware. She worked on the Innocence Project, which focused on new DNA evidence and technology to aid those wrongfully incarcerated.

After completing law school, Ms. Cassett decided to dedicate her career entirely to personal injury litigation. She initially began working for insurance companies, defending cases brought by injured individuals. She was an associate attorney at a reputable law firm in Cape May County for approximately 10 years.

In 2015, Ms. Cassett realized that she was on the wrong side. Thereafter, she began fighting for people injured in accidents. Having the unique experience of working for insurance companies for nearly a decade, Ms. Cassett knew exactly how to fight against them. She is an experienced trial attorney and is always ready to take a case before a jury.

Having been attacked by a dog as a small child, she found representing individuals attacked by dogs most rewarding. She understood just how horrific that experience could be for people, especially children. Her personal experience, combined with her extensive legal background, makes her an excellent “dog bite lawyer”.

Ms. Cassett was highlighted in Verdict Search magazine multiple times. In 2017, Ms. Cassett’s $1.2 million dollar jury verdict earned her a spot in Verdict Search’s Top 20 Verdicts in the State of New Jersey and Top 10 Personal Injury Verdicts in the State of New Jersey.

Ms. Cassett is Certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney. This is an accomplishment that only 2% of attorneys in New Jersey hold. She is a Court Appointed Arbitrator for the Atlantic County Superior Court and volunteers as Civil Mediation Panelist for Atlantic County Special Civil Division. She was also a member of the New Jersey Association for Justice and several Bar Associations in New Jersey.
